Neptune Oil Company has a rich and storied history in the Australian petroleum industry. Founded more than a century ago in Melbourne, Victoria, the company started as a privately owned enterprise and quickly grew to become a household name all around the country. Neptune made the experience of purchasing fuel a pleasant one by offering additional services such as selling used cars and other conveniences. After years of success, Neptune was taken over by a larger oil company in 1975.
